Description
This bright yellow French Mailbox was manufactured from 1962 to 1985. The mailboxes for the French Post were painted in daffodil yellow with the Post Office's symbol of a blue bird/arrow in blue and with blue trim. The blue bird is missing on this mailbox. They are cast aluminum. At the bottom is the sentence: "Ne jetez dans cette boite ni journaux ni imprimis." I couldn't find a good translation, but I think it means don't put newspapers or printed material in the box. It's for mail only. This vintage mailbox was part of an exhibit at a museum.
