Description
"Frisco, Colorado, Outdoor Clock" by Catherine Sherman.
A clock festooned with flower-filled hanging baskets greets visitors to the main street of Frisco, Colorado, a popular ski resort town in Summit County. Four major ski resorts are located in close proximity to Frisco: Copper Mountain, Breckenridge, Keystone, and Arapahoe Basin.
Frisco was founded by Henry Recen, and was built because of the mining boom in the area. Frisco was incorporated in 1880. To the left of the clock, you can see the bell tower of the historic Frisco school, which is on the grounds of the Frisco Historic Park and Museum.
Frisco is also very poplar with visitors in the summer, who enjoy the Rocky Mountain scenery and climate. Shops and sidewalk cafes line the street.
