"Sentinel Rock, Vermont" by Catherine Sherman.
Sentinel Rock, a glacial granite boulder, sits in a park in the Green Mountains of the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. The park overlooks Lake Willoughby and the town of Westmore as Autumn turns the trees to red, gold, orange and yellow.
A sign at the park tells the story of the family that donated the land for the park to the state of Vermont.

Interesting to see this "rock" in the middle of a field. Love the background. l/f
Catherine Sherman replied:
Thank you very much, Lynn! The rock was deposited by a glacier. Lake Willoughby beyond was carved by a glacier and is the deepest in Vermont.
