Description
"Yellow English Roses" by Catherine Sherman.
Yellow English roses as brilliant as sunshine bloom in a garden in Kansas City, Missouri.
This variety, called Graham Thomas, is among the most popular roses in the world and was bred by David Austin. The cup-shaped double blooms have a tea rose fragrance. Roses developed by David Austin are also called Austin Roses.
The "Graham Thomas" rose was voted The World's Favorite Rose by members of the 41 National Rose Societies worldwide. It also won the James Mason Award from the Royal National Rose Society in 2000.
Named for one of the most influential gardeners of his time. Graham Thomas was a frequent visitor to the David Austin nursery and chose this rose himself.
This rose bush is blooming in the Ewing and Muriel Kauffman Memorial Garden in Kansas City, Missouri.
