Description
"Oldest Building in Frisco, Colorado" by Catherine Sherman.
Wood's Cabin, built around 1860, is the oldest standing structure in Frisco, Colorado. The log cabin cabin was built before Colorado established statehood and Frisco was founded. Constructed as a family residence during the Civil War era, it became a post office drop, a bank, a madam's house, a saloon and then a general store. Frisco is in Summit County.
The cabin is now part of the Frisco Historic Park, where visitors can see the building as it was used as a general store and a spot to buy and enjoy refreshments. A large cola beverage cooler welcomes thirsty visitors, although the beverages have been sold out for a long time!
